J. Q. Dickinson Salt-Works is a modern revival, a true example of family business innovation.
In 1817, the Dickinson family used a hollowed-out tree trunk to first drill for brine. By 1851 they were awarded “The Best Salt in the World” by the World’s Fair in London. Almost two centuries later, after generations of innovation in banking, real estate, and other enterprises, G7 brother and sister team Nancy and Lewis are reviving the salt-making tradition on the very same land where it all began.
Come to hear:
- Ways the Dickinson family keeps innovating over their 200 year history
- How they work to keep a culture of stewardship in their family
- How they educate their growing family (over 100 people now in G9) on their family values and legacy
