With a background in higher education and communications, Jared facilitates conversations at the intersection of family, management, and ownership, helping small to mid-size family businesses develop healthy processes and systems in a way that continues the family business legacy. In addition to his role as a lead advisor, he chairs a CEO Peer Group called Time Out and provides leadership in educational development.
Before joining DVFBC as a Family Business Advisor, Jared owned EMDASH Communications where he managed a creative team and facilitated company and non-profit leadership teams in strategic planning, communication systems, and organizational clarity. However, his first career was in higher education, having developed graduate level curricula and served as Professor of Philosophy & Ethics for Grand Canyon University before launching Experience Institute, an experience-based graduate program in Chicago, as the founding Director of Operations.
Jared and his wife Sarah have 4 children at home, Augustine, Tov, Elletheia, & Exodus and live in Souderton, PA, where he enjoys reading, writing, and being as silly as possible with his kids.
