Peer Groups

For over 30 years our Peer Groups have been undergirding leadership development for enterprising families through our monthly meetings and regular executive coaching led by our expert family business advisors.

Our Approach

The learning agenda of each group is directly related to the GROWTH PLANS of the members which includes presentations by professional advisors, personal and professional assessments, proposal development and critique, and wrestling with the complex issues which arise in family enterprises.

Monthly Meetings

Usually about 3 ½ hours and hosted by members address both tactical and strategic issues that arise in the 5 MOUNTAIN® systems of enterprising families.

Executive Coaching

Members have the option of choosing 1, 2 or 3 sessions each quarter.

Peer Group Chairs

Our Peer Group Chairs create a safe space where real issues are processed, members are challenged and supported, and options are explored, often addressing the most complex strategic and relational issues facing Enterprising Families.

Unlike other peer groups, this Peer Group is designed exclusively for men and women who hold ownership and executive responsibilities and share the uncommon complexities, responsibilities, and satisfactions of leading Enterprising Families.

We systematically guide members through the assessment and enhancement of the key systems that drive family enterprises’ success.

Due to the inherent complexities and overlaps of the 5 MOUNTAINS®, our Peer groups also support the development of Emotional Intelligence competencies such as self-awareness, self-regulation, conflict transformation, collaboration, and mutual accountability.

A peer group for anyone in the Rising Generation, or Next Generation, looking to develop as leaders in a family business. These leaders are navigating transition as the time has come to step up in their leadership (regardless of the 5 MOUNTAINS® they are in) while also respecting the letting go process of the Leading Generation. We spend time developing self-awareness, communication, and personal leadership skills and listening and learning from others who are navigating similar experiences. For Rising Business Leaders motivated to learn and navigate their specific 5 MOUNTAIN® complexity.
