Joy grew up as a member of the second generation of an enterprising family in Upper Bucks County. Her father was the founder of a masonry business which quickly evolved into a full-service construction firm now in the third generation. While not invited into the family business as an adult, she credits those growing-up years as the foundation for an evolving vocational path.
Joy has extensive experience and wisdom gained from serving in many capacities: from bedside Nursing in healthcare systems in the US to leading health education in rural Haitian villages (she is fluent in Haitian Creole); from executive leadership in social service and healthcare to international service with her husband Walter; from counseling and pastoral care to leadership in an agency serving homeless women and their children; from consulting in Board Governance, Human Resources, fundraising, and marketing to Spiritual Direction.
In addition to her personal and professional understanding of the unique strengths and challenges facing enterprising families, Joy brings deep coaching and peer group leadership expertise.
Joy lives in Hatfield with her husband Walter of over 45 years and delights in two sons, two daughters-in-law, and five beautiful grandchildren.
