Michael has over 40 years’ experience working with successful family businesses in roles including marketing, new product development, engineering, operations management, and executive leadership. He has worked through successful growth, generational transitions, acquisitions, divestitures, plant relocations, and site startups in multiple industries.
He brings a balance of Industrial Engineering and People Orientation to his leadership approach to helping businesses. It starts with Planning – creating a well thought-out plan at the strategic and operational level; People – developing a Culture that inspires and people want to be a part of, choosing the right people for roles, and developing them as business grows and evolves; and Process – developing repeatable processes for key execution steps and continuously improving them for efficiency. Michael adds a steadying presence and is especially adept at bringing order to chaos and simplifying the complex. His intimate knowledge of the New Product Development Process from Ideation through Stage-Gate to Launch is a rare skill set. Michael has long-term Board member experience in business as well as non-profit organizations.
Michael has practiced the martial art of Taekwon Do for over 35 years, achieving the rank of 6th degree Black Belt. That precision and discipline carry over into his professional endeavors. In addition, he is an avid runner participating in the Broad Street Run over 10 times and the Philadelphia Half Marathon, softball player, golfer, and overall health and fitness enthusiast. He is a two-time cancer survivor who now spends time helping others coping with a cancer diagnosis through support groups and a one-on-one mentoring program at Fox Chase Cancer Center. He has spent 17 years as Treasurer and Policy and Finance Team Leader on the Board of Directors at Immanuel Church in Lansdale and is active in the Drexel LeBow College of Business Mentoring Program and Alumni Association.
Michael has been married for almost 40 years to Lisa, his fellow life adventurer, rock, and partner. They have an adult daughter living out her purpose coaching and training student athletes in sport-specific strength and conditioning. They are lifelong residents of the Bucks-Montgomery County region with strong family ties to the area.
